Transport Improvements On The Way For Port Macquarie
Port Macquarie residents will soon benefit from new transport facilities after the NSW Government today announced funding for an upgrade of the Findlay Avenue transport interchange.
Member for Port Macquarie, Leslie Williams said, “The $215,000 upgrade will include replacement of the existing bus shelter as well as installation of a new bus shelter, new signage, new road paving, landscaping and improvements to the footpath, kerb and gutter.
“These upgrades will deliver a more comfortable and safer experience for transport customers at Port Macquarie.
“The NSW Government is providing funding to Port Macquarie-Hastings Council to deliver these improvements. Construction is expected to be completed in the first half of the year,” Mrs Williams said.
The works are being delivered as part of the NSW Government’s Transport Access Program, an initiative to deliver accessible, modern, secure and integrated transport infrastructure where it is needed most.
