“The win represents the hard work and diversity delivered by one of the country’s most important industries.
“Our region has so much on offer for domestic and international visitors and I am delighted that our wonderful tourism products were recognised at this year’s NSW Tourism Awards.
“This is a true testament to the quality of products and experiences that are produced in our region that continuously draw people back year after year,”
Mrs Williams said.
NSW Minister for Trade, Tourism and Major Events Stuart Ayres said the NSW Tourism Awards highlight how the State’s finest tourism operators continue to attract people to stay, play and enjoy areas across the state.
“This year’s NSW Tourism Award winners represent individuals and businesses whose commitment to excellence continues to make NSW the number one destination to visit in Australia,” Mr Ayres said.
“Together they have helped us grow the value of NSW tourism – which reaped $25.5 billion in visitor expenditure for our State last year. Our top notch industry also helped NSW attract 32.5 million overnight visitors, who stayed 180 million nights.
