Police Minister in Port Macquarie
Minister for Police and Emergency Services, Sport and Recreation, Stuart Ayres MP is visiting the Port Macquarie electorate today to meet with local police and emergency services officers, inspect the construction of the new Port Macquarie Fire Station as well as meet with the Kendall Tennis Club Committee.
Member for Port Macquarie, Leslie Williams welcomed the Minister to the area saying it is important that Ministers get the opportunity to come to regional areas to discuss local issues.
“In the short time since Stuart Ayres was appointed to his current portfolio positions, he has very quickly earned a reputation as someone who is very committed to working closely with police and emergency service personnel,” Mrs Williams said.
“I am particularly pleased to have arranged for Stuart to meet with the Kendall Tennis Club Committee to discuss their plans to expand the Club’s facilities.
“The Kendall Tennis Club is much more than the name implies and I have witnessed first-hand the expansive opportunities the facility offers to individual members, wheelchair athletes, young people, seniors and the broader community.
“Their expansion plans have been talked about for many years and I am determined to make sure I continue to do everything I can to see it come to fruition,” Mrs Williams said.
